Ika yaki – Japanese Style BBQ Squid

Ika yaki - Japanese style bbq squid, gluten free

Growing up in Japan, one of mine and my brother's favourite memories are all the delicious street foods we'd eat at the festivals.

Ika yaki or bbq squid, was hands down my all-time favourite. Admittedly I've used a little artistic licence with this recipe as I couldn't use soy sauce, but I'm sure you'll agree, the result is still positively luscious!

If you're unsure about how to clean fresh, whole squid and would like to see how quick and easy it is, be sure to check out my short video here where I show you exactly how to do it.
